The municipality is now included in the Central Slovenia Statistical Region.〔(Dobrepolje municipal site )〕 The village includes the hamlet of Brezje south of the main settlement.〔Savnik, Roman, ed. 1971. South of the village is Kompolje Cave ((スロベニア語:Kompoljska jama)), also known as Žovkno Cave. It is the source of a large stream that soon disappears into the ground, and in the past people from villages in the region would travel up to three hours to obtain water from it during droughts. The Rupe Sinkholes lie southeast of Kompolje and water from Dolaja Cave ((スロベニア語:Dolaja jama)) flows into them.
